Miss Jones tastes the Aqua experience

Henrietta and I headed down to Aqua Kyoto on Argyll Street the other week to sample the lunch menu we'd heard great things about. We were not to be disappointed. From the moment we arrived, it felt as though we had been seamlessly transported away from the hustle and bustle of Oxford Street and into a chic haven of culinary bliss. We both opted for the very reasonably priced Bento Box which when arrived was a true Japanese feast of sushi, shrimp and vegatable tempura, chicken teriyaki and miso soup. We somewhat indulged for dessert with chocolate and praline doughnuts that sat atop a swirl of lemon curd - heaven on a plate!
Two days later, Miss Jones was to be spotted back at Aqua, this time the Spanish restaurant, Agua Nueva for a romantic meal of authentic tapas with a contemporary twist. The octopus and scallop dishes were a particular highlight. But not to focus too narrowly on the food, Aqua as a venue is a great spot in the heart of the city with fantastic views over London's rooftops. You can enjoy these views, cocktail in hand, from any of the several rooftop terraces the restaurants boast. Guaranteed, Miss Jones will be seen here in the summer months sipping a chilled beverage whilst she watches the busy London world go by.
Lots of love, Alison x
