Ravens Ait - a stunning venue not to be missed

A few weeks ago I was sent an invitation to go and have a look at a gorgeous venue called Ravens Ait.

Ravens Ait is an enchanting island on the river Thames between Kingston and Surbiton boasting well-tended landscaped lawns, a superb riverside veranda and marvellous views across Hampton Court Palace grounds.

We had the perfect day for seeing this venue. It was a balmy Saturday and we all arrived at the beautiful Edwardian Boat that was going to take us on a short tour down to Hampton Court and then back up to Raves Ait. We were greeted by the owner Ossie Stewart and his lovely wife Karen. We sailed up the Thames towards Hampton Court sipping champagne and taking in the marvellous views. After a few glasses and some wonderful food we docked at Ravens Ait Island.

This is the perfect location for any event you want to have that is going to be 'different'. You can hold pretty much any type of event on this island and have the a stunning day/evening.

The southern tip features a large lawn area with a beautifully manicured garden in the shadow of a huge weeping willow. Functions and wedding parties are catered for in a large marquee surrounded by a decked boardwalk and of course, the river Thames.

At the centre of the Island is the newly refurbished Main House. Contained within are over thirty rooms and a number of suites catering for all types of business meetings and ceremonies. The suites include our beautiful ballroom, the Britannia, and the Thames Suite. They have highly professional and motivated staff who specialise in all the areas that they cater for, with Personal Wedding and Business Co-ordinators designated to your special event.

I must admit, I have already though of some amazing parties that Miss Jones could throw on this island!!!

If you want to contact them directly for your event please go to http://www.ravensait.co.uk/. As always remember to mention Miss Jones when booking.

Love
