Breakfast - we all need it....

Good morning

I hope you all had a great Monday evening.

Now that the majority of us are back from holiday, the diets will begin for Christmas (yes I know it is not that far away) and I know that we all have breakfast cereals in our kitchens at work or even on our desks.

The one that I could never get my head around was Granola.  Although a few years back Pret showed me how delicious it could be mixed with yoghurt etc.  It is now a breakfast staple in a lot of restaurants as it is seen as very healthy for you and it fills you up for the day.

Are you a granola girl or more of a Kellogs Crunchy nut kind of a girl....  Have a look below at some of the places you can pick up great granola. Go on give it a try.....

Granola, Ottolenghi
The granola king, this contains Brazil nuts and bite-sized clusters of oats sweetened with light muscovado sugar and maple syrup. The bag is small and expensive but a quarter-cup-sized portion sprinkled on plain yoghurt is superb.

Lizi’s Organic Granola
This deliciously nutty, seedy, toasted oaty mouthful is naturally sweetened, raisin-free and makes the perfect topping for a bowl of berries and yoghurt.

Berry Granola, Dorset Cereals
So luxurious it’s almost a pudding, this new cereal is a tumble of baked, syrup-sweetened seed and oat clusters and lots of intensely flavoured freeze-dried berries.

Organic Yorkshire Granola With Seeds And Cereal, Side Oven Bakery
A gentle but flavoursome mix of honey-roasted oats and seeds which works as an excellent base for fruit compôtes. The hazelnuts and mixed berries version is also good.

Made up of buckwheat, barley, wheat, spelt, oats, rice and rye, and date syrup and coconut for sweetness, this is a rich, crunchy morning feast.
