When I hit the beach this year I am always worried about how my legs are looking! Well no more as I have just seen how amazing Christie Brinkley's legs are. At 59 and with three children, you might think Christie Brinkley would be less lean and toned than in her modelling days.
But when she recently turned up at an award ceremony, she showed off legs that defied her age.
Brinkley admits to taking a full-on approach to fitness, but says: 'I like to mix it up. I get bored if I do the same thing.'
One constant is a 20-minute daily workout on the Total Gym, a machine that uses your body weight as resistance. She also does yoga, kayaking, paddleboarding, running and dancing.
What to try:
Walking lunges are a great way to strengthen and tone legs.
Stand with feet apart and hold a bottle of water or dumbbell in each hand.
Keep your knees and toes pointing forwards and hands by your side.
Raise your right leg to hip level and step forwards into a lunge, bending both knees to 90 degrees.
Continue to walk forwards to a standing position.
Repeat with your left leg and continue for ten to 12 steps.
